Peak Performance is a 30-minute NeuroSync Pro® audiovisual brainwave entrainment session for experienced users preparing for a demanding but time-limited cognitive or performance task. The protocol is designed to create a highly activated preparation period while preserving task structure and a controlled settling phase.
The protocol starts at 12 Hz and spends sixteen minutes moving through 14–18 Hz. It is unsuitable when a user is already anxious, overstimulated, sleep deprived or physically unwell.
Peak Performance: Session overview
| Phase | Duration | Frequency | Intention | Music, colour and pulse |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 4 minutes | 12 Hz | Activate | Cinematic Ambient, turquoise, triangle |
| 2 | 6 minutes | 12 → 14 Hz | Build focus | Cinematic Ambient, lime green, triangle |
| 3 | 8 minutes | 14 → 16 Hz | Performance mode | Uplifting Electronic Ambient, electric blue, square |
| 4 | 8 minutes | 16 → 18 Hz | Peak performance | Uplifting Electronic Ambient, bright white-gold, square |
| 5 | 4 minutes | 18 → 16 Hz | Integrate | Cinematic Ambient, royal blue, triangle |
What the frequencies can and cannot mean
Terms such as alpha, SMR and beta describe frequency bands used in EEG research. In this protocol, however, they refer to the rate of the audio and light pulses. An external 14 or 18 Hz rhythm does not prove that the whole brain adopts that frequency and cannot guarantee focus, motivation or peak performance.
Research on auditory and visual entrainment reports possible effects on mood, attention and cognition, but findings are mixed and depend on technique, task, expectation and individual sensitivity. The session should therefore be understood as a structured sensory environment, not a neurological treatment.
Phase-by-phase analysis
Phase 1: 4 minutes at 12 Hz
The stated intention for this phase is “Activate”. Cinematic Ambient and turquoise accompany a triangle pulse. The frequency is an externally delivered rhythm, not a measurement of the user’s current brain state.
Phase 2: 6 minutes at 12 → 14 Hz
The stated intention for this phase is “Build focus”. Cinematic Ambient and lime green accompany a triangle pulse. The frequency is an externally delivered rhythm, not a measurement of the user’s current brain state.
Phase 3: 8 minutes at 14 → 16 Hz
The stated intention for this phase is “Performance mode”. Uplifting Electronic Ambient and electric blue accompany a square pulse. The frequency is an externally delivered rhythm, not a measurement of the user’s current brain state.
Phase 4: 8 minutes at 16 → 18 Hz
The stated intention for this phase is “Peak performance”. Uplifting Electronic Ambient and bright white-gold accompany a square pulse. The frequency is an externally delivered rhythm, not a measurement of the user’s current brain state.
Phase 5: 4 minutes at 18 → 16 Hz
The stated intention for this phase is “Integrate”. Cinematic Ambient and royal blue accompany a triangle pulse. The frequency is an externally delivered rhythm, not a measurement of the user’s current brain state.
Practical use
Use the session while seated in a calm environment and select one concrete task beforehand. Afterward, first confirm that you feel fully alert, settled and physically comfortable. An activating session cannot replace sleep, breaks, nutrition, movement or assessment of persistent fatigue.
The audio program can be used with the NeuroSync Pro Personal Edition. Adjustable professional audio parameters are available in the Therapeutic Audio Edition. The synchronized visual sequence requires the Therapeutic Audio+Light Edition. See all options on the NeuroSync Pro mind machine homepage.
Limits and safety
More intensity is not automatically more effective. Reduce light, volume or pulse strength if you notice agitation, headache, eye strain, palpitations, nausea, irritability or a wired feeling. Do not use a strong beta session to mask dangerous fatigue.
Do not use rhythmic light with photosensitive epilepsy, a seizure disorder or unexplained loss of consciousness without explicit medical clearance. Never use the session while driving, cycling, operating machinery or performing another activity that requires immediate vigilance.
Persistent brain fog, extreme sleepiness, burnout symptoms, sudden cognitive change or physical exhaustion may have medical or psychological causes. NeuroSync Pro® is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat these problems.
Frequently asked questions
Does a higher frequency automatically make me more energetic?
No. Responses differ, and excessive stimulation can increase agitation or fatigue.
Can I use the session when sleep deprived?
The session cannot reverse sleep deprivation. When clearly sleepy, rest and safety take priority, especially before driving or hazardous work.
Is the light component required?
No. Audio can be used on its own. Always choose the least intensive setting that remains comfortable.
