The light bar ultimately receives DMX values: red, green, blue, white, dimmer, intensity and possibly pulse or effect channels. What does the Ethernet version do?
The Ethernet version uses Art-Net, a protocol for sending DMX lighting data over a computer network. NeuroSync Pro sends the light values to an Art-Net-to-DMX controller. That controller converts the network data into a physical DMX signal for the light bar.
This is powerful because Ethernet fits professional lighting systems well. Controllers can be placed away from the computer, routed through switches or routers and expanded into larger DMX setups. For fixed installations, Ethernet is scalable and familiar to lighting technicians.
What does the USB version do?
The USB version uses a USB-DMX interface. The computer sends DMX frames directly through USB. The interface converts them into a DMX signal for the light bar.
This removes the local network from the lighting chain. You do not need to configure IP addresses, subnets, Art-Net nodes or network routes before the light responds. For many users this is the most practical route: connect USB, connect the light bar, select USB output and test.
Why Ethernet can create conflicts
Ethernet is powerful, but it depends on the local network. A practice room network may look simple, yet routers, guest networks, Wi-Fi extenders, firewalls, VPN software, privacy settings and multiple network adapters can all influence whether Art-Net reaches the controller.

USB to Ethernet cable: only for the Ethernet version
A USB to Ethernet cable is not a USB-DMX interface. This distinction matters. A USB to Ethernet cable adds a network port to a computer that does not have one. It allows the computer to communicate with an Art-Net/DMX controller through Ethernet.
The USB plug & play light set does not need this cable. It does not control the light bar through Ethernet. It uses a USB-DMX interface instead. Therefore, the USB to Ethernet cable is only relevant for the Ethernet version.
